After a doctor’s appointment this morning, I had a lovely time with a few friends during my Coffee and Card class. Then, my daughter and I spent a couple of hours enjoying Barnes and Noble — one of our favorite ways to spend a little time! When we got home, it was time to see what we could check off the “get ready for college” list. With the summer schedule, the day just seems to disappear!
I don’t know if you’ve noticed all the lemon cookies that are appearing on the baked goods shelves. Yesterday, I had some yummy ones which inspired today’s creation.
I started with a 3″ x 6″ Gusseted Cellophane Bag. To create a flat bottom, I added a little Fast Fuse to one side of the bottom and folded it over.
Then, I added my lemon and white chocolate chip cookies and used some Playful Palette washi to seal the top.
Next, I punched a 1″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Banner Triple punch.
Using the “enjoy” stamp from Ready to Pop I stamped it three times in Wild Wasabi. “Enjoy” was stamped once more, cut out by hand and attached to the center “enjoy” with a Dimensional. Then, the banner was scored it 1″ from the unpunched end, folded over the top of the bag and attached to the bag with the Handheld Stapler.
The new Layering Circles Framelits made creating the lemon slices a breeze!
I cut a 2’1/8″ circle from Daffodil Delight. Then, I ran it through the Softly Falling embossing folder.
Next, I used the 1-7/8″ circle to cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Using a dauber, I daubed Daffodil Delight around the outside edges. Then, I adhered the Whisper White layer to the Daffodil Delight layer.
Finally, I used the 1-5/8″ circle to cut a piece of Vellum cardstock. After cutting the Vellum, I scored it through the center and then into 6 sections like a pizza. I cut the circle in half along the center score line and then folded the score lines. Then, I daubed on some Daffodil Delight. Adding Multipurpose Adhesive to the score lines, I added the Vellum pieces close to the edge of the Whisper White layer. To finish the slices, I cut the sliver of Whisper White from between the Vellum half circles.
The leaves were punched from Wild Wasabi using the Fox Builder punch. The leaves and lemon slices were attached to each other and the “enjoy” banner using Glue Dots.
