My creating has been a little slow going today. While I’ve had good intentions, I’ve had trouble resisting the pull of a new book. I love to read and there’s been a drought of new reading material for a couple of weeks. Usually, or so I tell myself, I have a little better self control.
Once I got started creating something today (I had to have some proof that I’d worked today), I played with the Work of Art stamp set and PP237. It’s a pretty clean sketch and was a good challenge.
My creation for PP237 is kind of abstract and elegant. Is that a possible combination? Work of Art is definitely abstract.

Gold and Crisp Cantaloup are just lovely together.
The chevrons were embossed in gold and then I applied a wash of Crisp Cantaloup ink.
The background embossing used the Large Polka Dot folder. Then a Crisp Cantaloup Stampin’ Write Marker was used to hatch each dot.

What a fabulous card! I love the detail on the polka dots and the glittered chevrons. So pretty! Thank you so much for joining us this week at The Paper Players! 🙂
What a great abstract take on LeAnne’s sketch – suitable for so many different types of occasions. A lovely colour combo too. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!
I’m going to miss Crisp Cantaloup! Glad you enjoyed the color combination. It’s one of my favorite ways to pair it. Thanks for stopping by Joanne.
I just love your color combination (never thought of putting those two together) and your little cross hatches on the polka dots is so fun! The whole card is very clever!! Thanks for sharing this and playing with my sketch challenge this week!
Thanks LeAnne! Your sketch was fun to play with.
