Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  It’s been a crazy couple of days.  I traveled home to spend a few days with my mom.  But instead, I had to get her to the hospital.  I wish I had brought some of my cards with me to thank all of the people who are helping to get her back to her “normal”.  Lesson to self — don’t leave home without some cards!  You never know when they could come in handy.  The Pop of Petals with All Things Thanks card I’m sharing today would be perfect for my current need!

Pop of Petals with All Things Thanks

 

 

My color combination for today is:

Grapefruit Grove, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Gray.

 

 

 

For my card, I started with a Thick Whisper White base.

Then, I added a layer of Whisper White.

 

 

Next, I stamped a sentiment from All Things Thanks in Basic Gray.

Once the sentiment was cut out with a Stitched Shapes oval,

I stamped some background leaves and blooms from Pop of Petals.

 

 

For the main flowers, I used a watercolor wash with Grapefruit Grove on Whisper White.

Then, I stamped the Pop of Petals flower with Calypso Coral before punching it out with the

Four Petal Flower Punch.

For the leaves, I used a watercolor wash in Pear Pizzazz and then stamped in Pear Pizzazz

before cutting them out by hand.

To finish the card, I used some Iridescent Sequins.
