Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  Today, I’m thinking Fall.  I love the colors of the season, the beautiful leaves and change.  Come Fall I am always ready for change!  And with Fall right around the corner, I used it as my inspiration for my Pop of Petals Fall Watercolor card.

Pop of Petals Fall Watercolor Card

 

 

For my card, I started with a Blueberry Bushel card base.

Then, I’ve added a Very Vanilla mat whose edges I painted with

Bright Copper Shimmer Paint.

 

 

Next, I laid down some watercolor on my Very Vanilla focal layer.

After adding each color, I quickly heat set since

I did not want them to bleed into each other.

Then, I splattered on some Bright Copper Shimmer paint.

 

 

To create the flowers, I used images from Pop of Petals stamped in Blueberry Bushel.

As soon as I stamped, I took a barely damp Aqua Painter and brushed over the fresh image

to cause it to bleed slightly.

To cut out the flowers, I used the coordinating Four Petal Flower Punch.

 

 

Next, I cut Copper Foil Sheet with a Stained Glass Thinlits.

Once I had decided on it’s placement, I added a few Pop of Petals leaves.

Then, I adhered the die cut with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet

before adding the flowers with Dimensionals.

The outside of the card was finished with a few Metallics Sequins.

 

 

And after adding a Very Vanilla mat to the inside,

I stamped and brushed a single Pop of Petals flower.
