It’s been a beautiful day today. My daughter volunteered to go out and mow the lawn — it has grown sooo fast with all the rain we’ve had. She no sooner got started than the mower stopped. It has had a problem lately just racing terribly and she thought maybe it had finally bitten the dust. After coming to tell me about the problem, I suggested she check a couple of things that would be easy to fix. She checked and fiddled and finally applied the housewife’s trusty fix — she gave it a swift kick. Miraculously, it not only started — the racing engine was no more. Now on to my Pop of Paradise for TGIFC63 creation.

Pop of Paradise for TGIFC63
I used Pop of Paradise and combined it with TGIFC63
I’m really loving playing with this set and trying all kinds of color combinations.

The Details
The Tempting Turquoise pineapple in the middle was stamped first. Then I moved on to the pair of Rose Red pineapples followed by the Emerald Envy pineapples. This bold color combination works and is fun twist.
I added the Pineapple stamp inked in Tempting Turquoise to the background. It was stamped on Whisper White and then cut out by hand The longest leaves in the pineapple’s crown needed to be trimmed just slightly to fit the Whisper White background layer. I eyeballed the general shape of the tips of the leaves and tried to recreate that on the leaves I was trimming.
After adhering the center strip with Dimensionals, I added slender strips of Silver Glimmer Paper at the top and bottom of the center strip. Next, I added several loops of Silver Metallic Thread, adhering them with Glue Dots. Finally, there are a few sequins from Silver Sequin Trim.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at this fun twist on Pop of Paradise.
