Pocketful of Sunshine with Blended Seasons

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  My Blended Seasons pre-order bundle arrived today so of course, I wanted to take it right out and play with it.  After tossing around a couple of ideas, I settled on a Pocketful of Sunshine with Blended Seasons card.

As I mentioned above, I’m using a pre-order stamp set today.

For today’s card, I started with a base of Mango Melody.

Like…hellooo summer!!

Then, I added a layer and a narrow strip of Best Route designer paper.

Best Route is part of this month’s designer paper BOGO.

Next, I stamped the flowers from Blended Seasons in Smoky Slate

and colored them with Stampin’ Blends.

You can find the colors I used in the Product Guide below.

For the pocket, I inked in Versamark and embossed in Silver before

coloring with Stampin’ Blends.

Tip: The Color Lifter works beautifully to remove color, left by the Blends, from the embossed parts!

To cut the flowers and pocket, I used my Paper Snips.

 

 

Finally, I stamped the sunglasses from Pocketful of Sunshine in Mango Melody.

Once the Fine Tip Glue coated lenses were dry, I cut out the sunglasses and

adhered them to my pretty summer card.
