After a yummy lunch with a friend yesterday, I met with one of my Scrapbook Club members in the afternoon. Since I had the time this weekend, we were doing a make up session. We started with this month’s layouts. Once we got started, we decided to concentrate on just the bits that it was easiest to do in my studio — die cutting, stamping, etc. By the time we were finished with her session, her pages from this month were all but assembled and she had all the extra bits done so that she could assemble her kit from last month! What a great way to spend the day! I thought I’d share one Playful Palette scrapbook page from our layouts.

Playful Palette Scrapbook Page
We do two double page layouts each month with my Scrapbook Club.
So today, I’m sharing one of the pages from this month.
We used the Playful Palette designer paper stack (DSP) to create the border on the right hand side of the Very Vanilla page.
Each of the border pieces measure 2-1/2″ x 6″
From another piece of Playful Palette DSP I cut the word “laugh” using the Large Letters Framelits.
The three Emerald Envy panels measure 3″ x 5″.
Finally, I added stamped swirls from Swirly Bird. The large swirls were inked in Sweet Sugarplum and the small swirls were inked with Flirty Flamingo. All of the images were stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then cut out by hand. I chose to cut the large swirls right up against the Sweet Sugarplum color. But for the smaller swirls, I chose to leave a narrow ring of Very Vanilla. This allows the smaller swirls to pop against the larger swirls.
The Sweet Sugarplum swirls are raised with Dimensionals so that the corner of a photo could be tucked underneath if one wants to.
I alternated between using Dimensionals and directly adhering the Flirty Flamingo swirls to the larger swirls to add some interest.
Thanks for stopping by.
