Oh have I had fun playing today! I could say, “I am blue”. But, I’m not — I’m tickled pink with my Pick a Pumpkin in blue. I love those Hubbard squash that you see that are all blue and bubbly. They were my inspiration for my not quite Fall pumpkins.

I couldn’t decide on my favorite shade for the base.
So, I made it three times!
Here, I’ve used Pool Party for my card base.
Then, I have a layer of Shimmery White cardstock.
I spritzed it.
Then, I added on some of each of the blue shades.

While the watercolor background was drying, I stamped
and cut images from Pick a Pumpkin.
I’m in love with all of the stems that come in the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits!
They add some light texture and I don’t have to fussy cut!
Finally, it is just a matter of layering all of the bits.
Those new Mini Dimensionals were perfect behind the pierced pumpkin!

I’d love to be your demonstrator if you live in the United States!
What did you spritz it with to make it glimmer?? I’m looking for a current substitute to the smooch spritz.
Emily, thanks for asking. I used Shimmery White cardstock. You can see it HERE It’s got great body for watercolor and the added bonus of all over shimmer!!
I love this card. Wish I would have seen it earlier. I just made what I consider to be a very boring fall card with the Pick a Pumpkin bunch in fall colors. This one inspires me to try it in my favorite color – PINK and all of its shades.
Thank you so much Kathy! I hope you will make more. And check back — I’ve got other colors and designs coming!!
