Petals and Paisleys Scrapbook Pages

I’ve again been spending a few days with my mom.  Over the weekend I talked her into making a trip into Richmond with me.  My daughter was there with the the pep band.  Mom was afraid the trip would be too much but decided to go anyway.  Yay!  We met up with my brother and headed to Richmond for the evening.  My daughter was thrilled to see everybody!  Mom had a good time even though we arrived home at 2a.m.   That’s ok though, mom’s a night owl!  All of the testing has been a great excuse to come home more regularly.  As I left mom for testing last night, a gal at the location said to me “you two really enjoy each other’s company.”  Yes, we do!

I’ve created a few scrapbook pages using the beautiful Petals and Paisleys designer paper and thought I would share a couple of them.

This first page is simple and ready for a single photo you’d like to highlight!

The 12 x 12 cardstock base page is Soft Suede.

I’ve mixed and matched designs from Petals and Paisleys in varying sizes.

A Rich Razzleberry mat was added to help accent your photo.

I used the Woodgrain Embossing Folder on a strip of Sahara Sand cardstock.  It adds a nice bit of subtle texture that works nicely with the various patterns.

To embellish, I went simple because of the use of patterns.

There’s a 1-1/4″ Circle Punch of Copper Foil Paper on a Dimensional.  Over that is a Delightful Dijon oak leaf cut with one of the Leaflets Framelits.

The second page

uses a 12 x 12 Sahara Sand cardstock base.

To accent the Cajun Craze photo mats (one of which is on Dimensionals), I cut a leaf with the Leaflets Framelits and a flower with the Flourish Thinlits from Copper Foil paper.  After adhering the flower to the leaf with Multipurpose Adhesive, I used Dimensionals under the leaf.

Tip: Think about placement of the Dimensionals if you are making the page before adding photos.  That way you can tuck the corner of the photo under the embellishment.

In the lower right, I stamped the flourish from Flourishing Phrases in Sahara Sand.  Then I layered over it with a Very Vanilla strip die cut from the Flourish Thinlits.  There are two leaves cut from Petals and Paisleys designer paper using the Leaflets Framelits.  A Cajun Craze berry stem was cut with the Flourish Thinlits.  And this grouping is topped off by a Delightful Dijon element cut with the Paisley Framelits.

Petals and Paisleys Scrapbook Page 2 - upper right detail - from

In the upper right, I added accent strips of Petals and Paisleys designer paper.  The houndstooth design has been overlaid with Cajun Craze berry stems cut with the Flourish Thinlits.

I finished by adding more stamping using the flourish from Flourishing Phrases in Sahara Sand.
