I get up far too early most days and therefore head to bed earlier than I would like too. Given my druthers, I would stay up half the night. But, that’s not the way my world currently works. Occasionally, I need to stay up past my “bedtime” and be alert. Last night was one of those times. I was taking a webinar that didn’t begin until 10pm and I had a meeting earlier in the evening. As I went out to my meeting, I thought I would treat myself to a large iced coffee, figuring that I would leave half of it for my husband. Well, I went to my meeting — sip, sip. Came home and chatted for a bit — sip, sip. Sat through my webinar — sip, sip. Next thing I know, the Large iced coffee is 90% gone, it’s after 11pm and I’m wired!! Two problems with that: I still had to get up early; and the last thing I wanted to do was be productive.
As I started my day today, all I could think of was get me some coffee. So, the Perfect Blend stamp set was …well…the perfect one with which to work.
I stamped the cup in Basic Gray on Whisper White. Don’t you like the sketched quality to the cup? Inking the stamp a second time, I stamped on IAm Me designer series paper and then cut out the sleeve. Love how easy it is to jazz up the simple cup image.
Then, I pulled out the checked pattern image from Peachy Keene and inked it in Real Red. I stamped a small bit of the image to the right of the cup, then flipped the stamp and stamped a small bit to the left of the cup.
I inked the sentiment in Basic Gray as well. After punching it out with the Artisan Label punch, I used my Real Red Stampin’ Write marker to underline “temporarily” and added a Real Red candy dot.
All of the pieces were layered over a base of Crushed Curry cardstock which was followed by another piece of I Am Me designer series paper. Stampin’ Dimensionals were added under the Real Red arrow from Peachy Keene and the coffee cup panel.
Caffeine make not make me feel like I can rule the world but, it definitely perks me up on mornings that I’m dragging.
Be sure to stop back again tomorrow.
