Last month, I designed a fun decor piece that can be used year round. There will be a series of twelve plus decorations when I’m done creating the series. Really, the skies the limit once you get started thinking about the possibilities.
Yesterday, I held a class for this decor piece. We prepped the piece itself and created the first three decorations for it. I thought I’d share the decoration we made for Christmas/December.
We turned these raw decor pieces into chalkboards.
Then we created the themed decorations.
This one of course is a Christmas Tree. It uses Peaceful Pines.
Stamping one of the images from Peaceful Pines several times in Mossy Meadow ink on Old Olive, we then cut the trees out with the Perfect Pines framelits.
Then taking the White Gel pen we added snow to each of the branches.
After scoring the center of the trees, they were adhered together to create this 3D ornament.
We then added an Iced Rhinestone as the tree topper and a garland made from 1/8″ Striped Ribbon.
This was a fun, easy way to transition this chalkboard decor piece from Fall to Christmas.
We’ll do another class in January to add a few more months’ decorations to our collection.
