Hi there! Welcome to the July, 2017 A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. We are showcasing alternative ideas for the Positively Picturesque Paper Pumpkin Kit. As usual, the kit is pretty awesome all on its own. But, sometimes you’d like a little help coming up with some alternative or out of the box ideas. That’s what we’re here for!

Positively Picturesque Paper Pumpkin Project 1
–
–
This month’s kit had lots of goodies!
Card bases, two ink spots, lined envelopes, die cut stickers, natural wood elements, die cut layers, two rolls of washi, exclusive stamp set and more.
–
–
My first alternative project is a faux shaker card.
I used one of the die cut layers in the kit.
Then, I added a Thick Whisper White card base.
I inked the love stamp, from the Positively Picturesque stamp set, in Soft Sky.
Then, I used it to stamp a random pattern.
–
–
I also stamped love in the area behind the die cut out.
The circle cut out is covered with a piece of Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate.
The silver dots on the acetate give this card the look of a shaker.
I embellished with a piece of washi and one of the natural wood elements from the kit.

Positively Picturesque Paper Pumpkin Project 2
–

For my second Positively Picturesque alternative project, I created a pocket scrapbook page.
I started with one of the 6″ x 8″ Photo Pocket Pages.
Then, I cut a piece of one of the Soft Sky card base to fit a pocket.
Over this piece, I added the die cut circle left over from my card above.
Then, I stamped love in Soft Sky.
For my next pocket, I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock.
I stamped a random pattern of Soft Sky hearts.
The heart is also part of the Positively Picturesque stamp set.
Once I added a strip of washi, there was still enough room for journaling.
In the final pocket, I added a piece of Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate.
It makes the perfect overlay to highlight part of a photo or
accent two smaller photos sitting side by side.
