Hi! Welcome to this month’s A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Layered Leaves. Have you seen this month’s kit? Have you played with it? The Layered Leaves kit was filled with so many awesome goodies, it was hard to know where to start to create alternative ideas!! Some months I try to stick very close to just what’s in the box and some months I step it up and out a bit using some of my other supplies. This month, I’ve added to this amazing kit. Let’s check out what I’ve created. Then be sure to hop around to see what the rest of the design team created.

These are all of the goodies in this month’s kit!
And, here’s how I used them.
–
–
For my card, I started with a Thick Very Vanilla card base.
Then, I opened up one of the beautiful 3 x 3 envelopes and created a layer.
Next, I used Fine Tip Glue to trace the dry embossed design on the 3 x 3 card.
Before the glue dried, I sprinkled on Copper Embossing Powder and heat embossed.
After that, I used the maple leaf stamp from the kit.
First, I daubed on color to the back of the stamp and stamped.
Then, I turned the stamp over and stamped in Versamark and embossed in copper.
This leaf was paired with one of the printed leaves from the kit — I embossed that one too!

–
Since I had embossed in copper, I cut a Copper Foil leaf to add to the mix.
Next, I punched a 1-3/8″ circle of Very Vanilla and embossed the sentiment.
Finally, I added a combined Peekaboo Peach Crinkled Seam Binding
and Copper Baker’s Twine (from the kit) bow.

For my second alternative creation, I made a treat holder.
Using one of the 3 x 3 cards, I embossed as I did for the card above.
Then, I added scorelines to widen and create a bottom for the soon to be treat holder.
Next, I embossed one of the Soft Suede leaves.
–
–
To make my larger colored leaf, I daubed color through the negative of the die cut.
Then, I cut the leaf by hand and embossed it.
For the smaller leaf, I followed the same technique as with the large leaf for the card.
Finally, I tied the treat holder together with a piece of Peekaboo Peach ribbon,
added a Copper Baker’s Twine bow and tucked in a die cut tag from the kit.
