My first project is a slightly different take on the card.
First, I opened it up by removing the flap.
Next, I created a Flirty Flamingo belly band and added a strip cut from the flap.
Then, I layered on more details.
–
–
I used a foiled label, some of the pretty ribbon and enamel dots.
To finish the band, I colored one of the vellum die cuts from the kit
using Stampin’ Blends markers.
With the Blends, I was able to create a streaky wash for added visual texture.
–
–
For the note itself, I trimmed another piece of the flap
and added it to the bottom.
Then, I used the Rich Razzleberry ink and a sentiment from
the Heartfelt Love Notes stamp set to finish the note.

Project 2
–
–
For my second alternative project, I created a mini album.
I’m going to fill it with pictures from last weekend and give it to my daughter for Valentine’s Day.
–
–
At the front, I used one of the card pockets.
to it, I added a Whisper White insert.
There’s plenty of room for a photo and some journaling.
Then, I stamped a sentiment from Heartfelt Love Notes
and cut it out with the Tailored Tag Punch.
–
–
At the back, I added a tabbed insert.
I love the look of tabs in mini albums!
There are several more bits so share another time.

Neat card and I love the mini book.
Thanks Audra! I think I need to make another mini album — it’s been a while.
I love how you modified the pocket card. So cute!
Thanks Jennifer! This was one of those kits that I hated to even cut, I thought the card bases were so cute!
Great idea for the album. Who doesn’t love special photos of their famly?
Thanks Kathy! I love mini albums for sharing a few pictures or one event.
Love your projects!!! TFS!
Thanks! Kelly
They’re both fantastic projects, but that mini album–what a treat! Can’t wait to see more of it 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Kimberly! I think it’s time for some photo printing.
