Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin aka the artful inker. I’ve had lots of need for thank you cards. In fact “thank you” and “just because” are probably the two card types I make most often. Today, I’ve got a Painted Harvest Thank You card. I haven’t played with this set in a while and I wanted to use it with some of the retiring colors (see the list HERE).
Painted Harvest Thank You
For this card, I started with a Pink Pirouette base.
Then, I added a layer of Pink Pirouette on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On the Whisper White focal layer, I used the two step stamps for the petals.
While I have stamped in Berry Burst, I used a drier ink pad and I stamped off first.
Both of these affect the intensity of the color.
For the centers of the flowers, I inked in Fresh Fig and stamped off first.
After cleaning the stamp, I inked and stamped in Pink Pirouette.
Doing this adds a little shadowing to the center.
Then using the leaf stamp from Painted Harvest, I stamped in Lemon Lime Twist.
For the leaves, I alternated between masking the flowers and masking part of the leaves.
Using Teeny Tiny Wishes, I stamped “thank you” in Berry Burst.
(I’m going to miss this retiring set!)
Tip: Save the narrow strips that are left when cutting layers as they are perfect for sentiments.
To finish the card, I placed clusters of clear epoxy bubbles.
I love these embellishments because they add a little subtle something.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my Painted Harvest thank you card.
