Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin aka the artful inker. Today, I’m participating in the OSAT Blog Hop Lay It Out. All of us have created some kind of scrapbooking/memory keeping project to share with you.
OSAT Blog Hop Lay It Out
My daughter is going on her twelfth year in band.
She loves it!!
And she loves football season and the weekly pregame and field show.
At the beginning of pregame, the band march runs, run marches, from the tunnels
and appears through the smoke.
There’s so much excitement at this moment, that I decided to capture it
in three similar but different photos.
In fact, my layout could be themed repeat, repeat, repeat.
First, I dropped large spots of ink onto the page.
Then, I repeated by using the ink again for some fine splatter.
I think the movement of the larger and smaller ink drops
mimics the movement of the smoke.
After tucking in a Pearlized Doily back side up,
I repeated again by creating some 1/4″ and 1/2″ circle embellishments
using cardstock and Fine Tip Glue Pen.
Next, I added Gold Faceted Gems.
Using the Lined Alphabet, I created the H2P (a school tagline).
Since there are no numbers in this stamp set, I used the Stamparatus, the “s” and the “i”
to create the number 2.
And finally, I tucked in one of the Best Route Memories and More cards
for journaling.
I’m so excited for this card pack, the designer paper, embellishments and washi!!
They are beyond perfect for scrapping many of her college memories.
OSAT Blog Hop Lay It Out Treat Bag
Since the beginning of high school, I have made treats for my
style=”text-align: center;”>daughter’s section in the band
for game days.
Yes, treats are still appreciated in college!
And since I’m driving 5 hours to the games these days, the treats need to be easy!!
For this treat holder, I continued with the splatter.
I’ve made it deep enough to hold several little things.
It’s easier to eat the treats if they’re small enough to consume between songs.
And on the front, I added the H2P on a Stitched Oval and
a few of the Blueberry Bushel embellishments
just like those on the scrapbook page.

Love those ink splatters! I like how you incorporated the school tagline into it.
Thanks Candy! I need to get cracking and scrap more from her band years.
Such a fun scrapbook page and gift bag Sara. Love how you’ve taken the colours from the photos to your projects
Thanks Jay. Normally, I’m not so matchy matchy when it comes to scrapbooking — but I was thrilled that some of the new Stampin’ Up! colors go perfectly with the school colors.
Really cool band photos, Sara. Love how you have featured them!
Thanks Jenny! I’m so glad the band has a photographer — my pictures from the stands would never be this up close and personal.
