Color Combo

Our Stampin’ Up! color combo for today’s OSAT Hop garden party theme is Soft Succulent, Crushed Curry, Merry Merlot, Crumb Cake, and Cajun Craze.

True Beauty Card

For my garden party card, I used the True Beauty stamp set from the Annual Catalog.  This set comes with lots of little elements to stamp as well as a coordinating set of Organic Beauty Dies to make the True Beauty Bundle.

One of my favorite elements from the Organic Beauty Dies is this lattice die that I’ve used for my background element.  It adds a nice bit of texture on which I built my floral arrangement.

For my flowers, I used the color combo from above.  I always love the automatic texture/color variation that you get when you use a Dist Ink Tive stamp. 

Layers of color and layers of elements are definitely the name of the game with this card.

To finish the card, I added the just because sentiment on a piece of Crumb Cake and accented it with several loops of Linen Thread.

Both of these elements blend in yet add more subtle texture to the whole composition.
