Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. Today, I’m participating in the OSAT Blog Hop Creature Comforts. What that theme means to you is, all of our designs will have something to do with animals. Fun! I took that idea and created things for an animal themed baby shower.
OSAT Blog Hop Creature Comforts Baby Shower Card
I started by choosing to work with
the cute Animal Outing stamp set.
See the details HERE
For my card, I used a base of Powder with layers of
Whisper White and Soft Sea Foam.
Before adding the Whisper White focal layer, I embossed
with the Petal Burst folder.
Then, I splattered on a little Soft Sea Foam ink.
Next, I created the sentiment tag in the upper right.
After cutting a Stitched Shapes Oval from Powder Pink,
I stamped the sentiment in Powder Pink.
As you can see, I used about three quarters of the oval.
For my next layer and the rhino, I used Tropical Escape designer paper.
This paper is part of the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE offer during July – HERE
I stamped the rhino from Animal Outing in Basic Gray.
Then, I cut her out by hand.
There are coordinating dies, Animal Friends Thinlits – if you prefer.
Finishing details for the card are loops of Rose Metallic Thread and a few
sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Mix.
OSAT Blog Hop Creature Comforts Baby Shower Favor
My second project is a baby shower favor.
For my favor, I used the Petite Treats Framelits – HERE
Using the Petite Treat Framelits, I cut my Powder Pink container.
Then, I punched a 2-1/4″ Circle from Tropical Escape designer paper.
Next, I added loops of Rose Metallic Thread.
And, I topped it off with another Animal Outing designer paper rhino.
By using the Framelits to cut a second rounded top,
I easily created a container that can be opened and closed.
To finish this cute little favor, I used some of the pretty
Powder Pink 3/8″ Mini Ruffled Ribbon.

Great idea stamping the rhino on dsp Sara and the ruffled ribbon finishes off the box nicely
Thanks Jay! That ruffled ribbon was just what that little package needed.
Cute card and party favour Sara – the DSP looks great with the Animal Outing set – Angela x
Thank you Angela! This is an easy pack of designer paper to use!!
Love the pink polka dot rhino. It makes the whole card. Also love the rose wire thread. I don’t know that was in the catalog. I have kind of been on the fence about this stamp set but I think this card gave me the push I needed. Thank you.
Susan, so glad you enjoyed the polka dot rhino! And glad I could point you in the direction of a new product while providing some inspiration. Thanks for stopping to chat.
