OSAT Blog Hop Boys in the Hood

For today’s hop theme, I needed to make a masculine card.   And while I have shared several in the last couple of weeks, they are not my go to theme/style.  I think this is a card type that many card makers struggle with.

First, there’s the color.  What colors are acceptable for a masculine card?  In my world, pretty much any color works.  It’s how you use it.

When creating this card, I stayed with more traditional blues and greens: Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy.

Using the Basic Borders Dies, I added some shape to my card base and layer of You’re a Peach designer paper.

Then, I stamped the sailboat from Sweet Farewell and colored it with Stampin’ Blends.

And to finish the flap, I stamped with sentiments from Biggest Wish.

This is a quick and easy masculine card with some added fun provided by the Flap Fold.  And, it’s easy to change it up for an occasion by simply using a different sentiment from Biggest Wish!
