I’ve been playing this morning! After watching a couple of videos about oxidized inks, I thought “I bet I can do that with Stampin’ Up!” inks. Guess what!?! YOU CAN!!! My play time resulted in a cool Oh So Eclectic oxidized card. It’s a fun new look/twist on using ink. And though it looks like it might be messy, it is not!

Using the Oxidized Technique, the colors are kind of muted —
they have a soft, chalky feel.
The color goes on in a smooth, creamy way.
A little water plays nicely and
brings out the oxidized spots.

Once my background was ready, I trimmed off a strip to make the layer a bit narrower.
Then, I used the strip as an accent.
I heat embossed three flowers from Oh So Eclectic in gold.
Then using the watercolor flower, I inked it in Berry Burst and stamped off twice
before adding the image to Whisper White cardstock.
Next, I inked the leaves in Emerald Envy and stamped off twice.
Before cutting out the images using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits,
I used my Aqua Painter to brush them with water to really
fade/distress them.
One last set of leaves was heat embossed with gold on Whisper White.
Then, I inked the sentiment from Oh So Eclectic with Archival Basic Black.
After adding the focal layer to an Emerald Envy layer, I finished the card with a Thick Whisper White base.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Oh So Eclectic Oxidized Technique card.
