Have I mentioned that I love the Paper Pumpkin kits? I didn’t have time to play yesterday as I spent the day with customer/friends. Sitting around a table with people, chatting and creating — it doesn’t get much better than that. This morning, I felt it was time to put on my thinking cap and see what I could come up with as an October 2014 Paper Pumpkin alternate idea.
October 2014 Paper Pumpkin Alternate
I stuck with the idea of Thanksgiving.
I decided to turn part of one of the pie boxes from the kit into a treat cone.
These would be a festive addition to your table or a way to send a little love home with your guests or for your neighbors.
I used one of the die cut tags that’s included in the kit and two of this month’s stamps. The stamps were inked in Old Olive (came this month) and Basic Black (from the Good Life Brag Book Paper Pumpkin Kit).
Then, I created a small pom pom for the bottom of my cone using some of the Hello Honey yarn and pom pom maker that were included in the kit.
Next, I added a Tea Lace Doily to line the inside and some Gold Sequin Trim to — you guessed it – trim the cone.
I’ll be sharing a couple more alternate ideas. Check back in on Sunday for #stampingsunday when Paper Pumpkin will be used.
And, my subscribers will receive the final alternate idea as their exclusive tutorial.
