No Special Reason

Many people make New Year’s Resolutions.  I usually avoid this but this year I’ve decided to join the pack.  I’m hoping you’ll jump on the band wagon and embrace my resolution and add it to yours!  My daughter and I have been sending more cards/notes than usual.  And the response has been amazing!!!  Every time we’ve met up with, talked on the phone with or texted with someone we sent a card, they have expressed their appreciation.  Sometimes the cards were for a reason but most were for no special reason.  My resolution: #sendhappymail  Reason or no reason, happy mail will go out from my house every week!  Try it!  You and they will like it!  And, I’m sure you’ll this No Special Reason card!

No Special Reason

Using Special Reason, I created a no special reason card.

Over my Basic Black base, I have a Sahara Sand layer that has been embossed with the Petal Burst folder.

Then, I stamped two of the large flowers from Special Reason in Mint Macaron onto Very Vanilla.

One leaf is stamped in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla.

Then using the leaf vein stamp inked with Memento Black, I stamped on Sahara Sand.

Though I cut all of the stamped pieces by hand since in my hurry to pre-order I forgot the coordinating Stylish Stems Framelits, they’ll be on the next order!

Using a dauber, I added a little Sahara Sand ink around the edges of the Sahara Sand leaves.

The large black flower was cut with a die from the May Flowers Thinlits.

Finally, I added a cluster of small Basic Pearls and a frame of Gold Glimmer Paper.  The outside was cut with the trimmer and the inside was cut with a scallop square from the Layering Squares.
