I’m am so looking forward to the next few days! It’s Spring break and for the first time since school started my daughter isn’t loaded with homework. We’re anticipating some quality girl time together. That’s not to say that we don’t usually spend time together. It’s just different. A usual day consists of conversation as we travel to/from activities and between breaks in homework. There’s rarely just hanging out time. So, I’m ready!
While I’m by myself this morning, I thought I’d do my creating. I wanted to play with the triangles in Geometrical a bit more. After choosing my color scheme, I stamped and punched out my triangles. I placed them around in a design on my counter and thought I was ready for assembly. Not so fast! On the card the design was bad. Just shaking my head about how that can be. On to plan B or C…
I started playing with all of my stamped triangles and decided on a random pattern. But, the center of the card looked bare.
Reaching for Starburst Sayings, I decided upon the sentiment you see to the left. But, it was too small. So, I added a piece of Silver Glimmer paper cut with the Starburst framelits — better but still not quite right. Under the sentiment is a piece of Coastal Cabana cut with the Circle framelits. Though you can barely see it, you’d be amazed the difference it makes. Then I added two pieces of Retro Fresh designer paper cut with the Banner framelits and some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Ahh, just right!
I think this card will go to Ms. Lutte, the band/orchestra director. My daughter asked for a card for her this morning. The sentiment definitely fits. I won’t take the time now to tell you just how much I think of her other than to say that everyone should have at least one teacher who is as dedicated to and passionate about her profession and her students. The kids all know they are lucky to have the opportunity to have her in their lives.
Who do you appreciate? Let them know.
