With the super moon yesterday, Moonlight Madness seemed like an appropriate title. Did you notice it? When we looked out the back window last night, the moon appeared as if it were sitting on top of the neighbor’s house. And it was so bright! It inspired me to pull out some of my favorite designer paper – Moonlight – and get to work creating. Though, I had to wait for the sun to come up this morning so that I could photograph my card.
And now that band camp is over for the day, I can get it posted.
I pulled out another of my 2 x 2 swaps from Convention. The coordinating blue is Lost Lagoon so that became the base. On the 2 x 2 focal piece, there are 3 strips from different pieces of Moonlight designer paper. So since the colors and designs in the paper stack coordinate, I pulled out one of the pieces with distressed dots.
To the 2 x 2 piece, I added a loop of 7/8″ Natural Ribbon. Using the Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Write Marker, I drew stripes on the ribbon before affixing it to the back of the 2 x 2 piece with Fast Fuse.
Details! I added a Basic Rhinestone to the center of the Flower Shop flower after I tinted it lightly with the Smoky Slate Blendabilities. Then, I added a couple of silver sequins and washi tape from the Love Story Project Life Accessory Pack. After using the Banner Punch on a piece of Moonlight designer paper, I attached the two small, dotted banners to the larger piece of designer paper with the Handheld Stapler (#135850). It will be available on August 28.
