Yesterday afternoon, there was a baby shower for one of my friends. We were all asked to bring a favorite picture book and given a book plate to put inside with a message. Since I love books, I thought this was a lovely idea. In fact, I often give books as baby gifts because in my world — you can never have too many books. I went to the store for “Miss Rumphius” as it’s the book my daughter mentions when she talks about the life she would like to lead. But, I ended up with “The Kissing Hand” — another of our favorites. We still read it.
Since they were making a display of the books,
I wrapped it separately from my main gift.
I had a large cellophane bag on hand.
After placing the book and the cute, cuddly friend I had found inside,
I tied it closed with a piece of 5/8″ Organza Ribbon.
Using a piece of White Baker’s Twine,
I tied on my Moon Baby Gift tag.
Moon Baby was stamped in Pink Pirouette
and then cut out with one of the Lots of Labels Framelits.
I used Watercolor Pencils to color him and his umbrella.
A second umbrella top was stamped, colored and cut out
before adding it with Dimensionals.
Finally, the sentiment was stamped in Pacific Point
and the banner was added to the tag.
This was a cute, simple way to wrap my book.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my Moon Baby gift tag.
