I’ve been a little slower to post today as I’ve been helping one of my new team members to get started. There are some exciting choices to make! So, I’ve made myself available to that she can pop in and out online and ask questions. It has been fun to participate in her excitement!! One of the many parts of my job that I love!! Finishing with that, it was time to create!
Monotone Dragonfly Dreams
I chose the Bermuda Bay color as I looked at the 1/8″ Emerald Envy Taffeta Ribbon
on my counter.
What?
You see, I always mistake the ribbon color as it blends so nicely with Bermuda Bay.
The base on the card is Thick Whisper White
Followed by a just slightly smaller layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock.
It is topped by the Whisper White focal layer.
Now for the
Monotone Dragonfly Dreams
Ink the background dots stamp from Dragonfly Dreams
in Bermuda Bay and stamp
three times without re-inking.
Then, add one of the Lace Doilies — white side up.
I love that these doilies have a white and a very vanilla side.
Next, ink the dragonfly stamp with Versamark followed by Bermuda Bay ink
and stamp onto Vellum.
Sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder and heat to set.
Give it a moment to cool and then cut out the dragonfly with the
Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.
Next, I adhered just the head and top bit of the body to the Lace Doily
with Multipurpose Glue.
Finish the card with a length of that 5/8″ Emerald Envy Taffeta Ribbon,
a bit of White Baker’s Twine and
a Basic Rhinestone.
Now you have a clean and simple
Monotone Dragonfly Dreams card.
