Either way I’m going to share with you the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder and how to use it. So, maybe it’s both!!

Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing How To

The Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder comes packaged with the 3D embossing folder and the coordinating dies.  And that can cause a few moments of hmmm followed by questions.  Why do the embossing folder and dies come packaged together?  Are they supposed to work together?  And finally, how do I use them?

Well, I spent the morning playing and couldn’t wait to share them with you!  So, there’s no completed project — that will come later.  Just food for creative thought!

 

Now, there are three basic ways to use the Hybrid Embossing Folder.  I say “basic ways” because you and I both know that we like to come up with alternate ways to use things — once we know the basics.

Option 1 for the Hybrid Embossing Folder, uses the folder to give you a pretty embossed background layer.  You get the tiny snowflakes and the greenery frame.

 

With Option 2 for the Merriest Frames, you get the pretty embossed frame and it’s been cut out.  Using the Hybrid Embossing this way, you create even more visual interest for your card!  I love visual interest!!

 

And with Option 3, you not only get the beautiful embossing and added visual texture but you add texture to the layer as well! 

Just playing with the Merriest Frames got my creative wheels turning!
