I’ve been playing the mad scientist today. You know, “I wonder what will happen if I do this _____?” Using My Digital Studio, I had printed off an enlarged version of the flower in Creative Elements. I had used this page to run a test on another day. But, I’ve kept looking at it thinking that I should really do something with it today. So my “I wonder…” had to do with how this flower would look on Window Sheet.
First though, I want to make you aware to bits of BREAKING NEWS.
- Beginning tomorrow and running through June 4, many of the retiring products will be discounted from 25% – 50% Check my store tomorrow. Items will of course be while supplies last. You may choose to order directly online. Or, I will be available to place the order for you. Everyone who uses this Hostess Code ZKGVZDPQ will receive sampler with the new In Colors.

Since I wasn’t ready to use my printed flowers, I decided to make this a hybrid project. Using a Sharpie marker, I traced the flower onto a piece of Window Sheet. Then, I began coloring. Since I was using my Blendabilities I had to color on the opposite side from the tracing.
Using all three shades of the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities, I colored the petals. You’ll find when you do this that the colored side feels a bit tacky when it first dries. After cutting out my flower pieces, I decided to see what would happen/if I could shape the petals with the heat from my Heat Tool. Answer: “Yes”. BUT, it would be best to do this in a well ventilated area.
I even colored the top of my Stampin’ Dimensional so that it would not be quite as noticeable through the Window Sheet.
To finish my box, I used the fine ink splatter image on the top of the box and embossed in Gold. Around the sides of the box, a strip of Epic Day This and That washi tape followed by a piece of Retro Fresh designer paper were added.
This little box is a quick and easy way to be ready for the many gift giving opportunities coming in the next few weeks: graduation, birthday, Father’s Day, shower…
I like to keep a package of these boxes on hand at all times as they are so easy to personalize.
Thanks for stopping by. Don’t forget to go to my store tomorrow to take advantage of the discounted products and be sure to use Hostess Code ZKGVZDPQ so that I can send you the In Color sampler. And be sure to use SHELLIDEAL at this link to get your 50% off June My Paper Pumpkin. I know I will!
