Since tonight is Meet the Band night, there was no band camp this morning. I’m excited to see a snippet of both the pre-grame and halftime shows this evening. What this means to me creatively is that I’ve had this morning to create. Yeah!
Since I’m functioning on a little bit tired, I turned to a sketch challenge to help with inspiration. After looking at the PP259 sketch, I decided to combine it with Lighthearted Leaves. Here’s what I did.
I love the Lighthearted Leaves ( 139712 available September 1) and how this clean card turned out.
Both leaves were embossed in Gold on Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow and then cut with the Leaflets framelits.
Farmers Market designer paper was punched with the Triple Banner punch to create the next layer down.
And the sentiment, also from Lighthearted Leaves, was Gold embossed on Very Vanilla cardstock.
I created a new technique today I’m calling Molten Embossing and used it on the Very Vanilla cardstock base. This technique adds a neat bit of texture you don’t get with regular embossing.
Here’s a quick how to video:
Use this technique and share what you’ve created in The Artful Inkers Love to Craft Group
