Just Add Color Scrapbook Page

Hi! Welcome to my blog.  As I mentioned in an earlier post, my Scrapbook Club had its first meeting of the year over the weekend.  Each month, there is a full featured product that we use across the four pages that we make.  This month, we used the fun Just Add Color designer paper.  While you could create great pages using whole sheets of the Just Add Color paper, we did something a little different.  Since today I’m prepping projects for tomorrow’s online LIVE team meeting, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to share one of our Just Add Color Scrapbook Page from the weekend.

As I’ve mentioned before,

I don’t design pages with particular photos in mind.

I’m a design first and add photos later kind of gal.

This page was designed thinking about travel.

And travel is kind of a window into other places.

I used the houses from the Just Add Color designer paper to

represent buildings in a city.

Then, I added some colorful splatter

and some Embossing Paste bricks for

additional texture/interest.

When I was done I started thinking about the annual long weekend

my daughter and I spend in New York City.

Last summer in our wandering around, we came across this photo booth

with the topiary bear holding a selfie stick.

My daughter couldn’t wait to pose with him

and then step inside the booth with her phone

so that she could say she had used a phone booth.

Phone booths don’t exist around use anymore.

This fun page does a good job of capturing

this fun moment from our trip!
