June Paper Pumpkin – Sample 2 and an Alternate

I’ve continued playing with my June Paper Pumpkin kit and today, I have a second sample from the kit and an alternate idea.  If you haven’t yet played with your kit, be sure to check out the tip included with yesterday’s post.

The second card in the kit is a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 fold over.

This card uses the kraft base which is randomly stamped with the large flower image included in the exclusive stamp set.  Then placing several of the die cut stickers, the white focal layer is created.  After stamping “it’s your day”, a loop bow was added to the back of the die cut flower.  This flower was further embellished with one of the faceted buttons included in the kit.  And to make this card even more special from start to finish, there’s a pretty coordinating liner for the envelope.

My second card today is an alternate project and you’ll need a few supplies from your stash.

The idea for this card was to keep it simple and use some of the left over bits from the June kit. I started with a Wild Wasabi cardstock base and stamped all over with the small flower in the exclusive stamp set.

The flower in the lower right is from the remaining pieces after the die cut flower for the first card was punched loose.  I cut around the  bit that remained and added the circle punch that wasn’t needed for the first card.

Next, I mixed up some Wild Wasabi spritz using ink refill, rubbing alcohol and a Stampin’ Spritzer.  I saved the balsa piece after removing the die cuts.  It makes a great mask for spritzing or sponging.

Since I failed to use the banner layer piece on yesterday’s card, it had become an “extra”.  Using the balsa piece as a mask, I spritzed the banner to achieve a light pennant design on the banner.

The top of the banner is wrapped with Gold Bakers Twine.  And in the center, I’ve added the sentiment from the exclusive stamp set on a piece of Whisper White and inked in Wild Wasabi.  To finish, I sprinkled on a few sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim.
