Have you seen all of the beautiful citrus images that have been popping up everywhere lately? I see them on Pinterest, Instagram and Tumbler when I post. The other day I saw one and felt I just had to make a card that might evoke the same feeling — no not hunger or mouth watering. The color combination was beautiful and it was nothing but slices of citrus. Something like this:
Love the transition from Rich Razzleberry through Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight to Pistachio Pudding. And this is what I came up with:
I played with both color and shape using Rich Razzleberry, Crisp Cantaloup, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pistachio Pudding and Vellum cardstocks. I heat embossed with White on the Rich Razzleberry and Crisp Cantaloup. Stamp sets used were Mixed Bunch, Off the Grid and Starburst Sayings. There are also layers of punches from Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper and a trail of Gold Sequins. Random pieces are elevated on Stampin’ Dimensionals and with the exception of the designer paper, pieces were not laid out in a straight line. I finished with a horizontal strip of Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper and a few Crisp Cantaloup ink splatters from Gorgeous Grunge.
I may have to try this again but next time, I think I will work with color only and see what happens.
