Hi! Welcome to the July Inspire Create Share Blog Hop! I’m new to the ICS team this month. In case you haven’t been to my blog before, my name is Sara Levin aka theartfulinker. This month’s theme for the ICS Blog Hop introducing the 2017-2019 In Colors. I’m loving the whole selection of new In Colors. Do you have favorites yet? Lets see if we can help inspire you to love them unconditionally 😉
ICS Blog Hop Introducing the 2017-2019 In Colors
I’m totally loving the new In Colors and
I’ve been making a card and then making it again
in the remaining four colors!
My cards are primarily monotone.
Starting from the top, I’ve used:
Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst and Fresh Fig.
I used a wet Aqua Painter and ink refill in the appropriate color
and just made a kind of scribble from top to bottom on the Thick Whisper White layer.
The sentiment was stamped with an image from Lovely Friends.
You can do as I did and cut the “and” from the stamp or mask it off.
Tip: If you cut off the “and” be careful as it is very close to the “you”. Be sure to save it for future use!
Then, I used the flower die from Support Ribbon Framelits and cut Fresh Florals Designer Paper.
The center of each flower is a result of the die cutting.
I used the circles from a contrasting color and then topped it with a dome
created with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
Next, I added an overlapped strip of 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon in the matching color.
Then, I topped off the ribbon with a Clear Faceted Gem.
