Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. Today is the Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop May 2019. We’ve got some inspiration for different ways to use your stamps, ink and paper!

Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop May 2019

The weather has me thinking of evenings outside.
This pretty votive holder is perfect for your summer garden,
wedding or shower table decor!

Start by painting your clothespins.
Then, adhere strips of Garden Lane designer paper (available June 4).
Run Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon (retiring) through the clothespins.
Then, tuck in a piece of Gold Mini Sequin Trim (retiring).

Add a small flower cluster to the right of the bow.
And accent it with Vellum leaves and Gold Glimmer Paper sprig.

On the opposite side,
create a floral grouping the flows from the left
towards that small cluster on the right.
Now you’re all ready to enjoy dining outside, cocktails with friends,
a garden party, etc!
Thanks for stopping in today!

love this, such a great gift idea and perfect for end of term teacher gifts which is coming up for us here in the UK, thanks for the inspiration
Thanks, Laura! I hadn’t thought of using this as a teacher gift — great idea! Or even as a hostess gift for those summer parties we attend.
Sara, I love your votive candle and flowers especially. Thanks for sharing your idea with us.
Thanks, Frances! This was such an easy way to dress up a plain holder.
Sara, your voltive candle holder is so clever!!! Love all the sweet details, especially those pretty paper flowers.
Thanks, Tami! I love how easy these little flowers are to make.
Hi Sara, I’m in the process of making your Votive. It seems that when the hot glue cools off, the clothes pins aren’t sticking to the votive. Did you use something other than Hot Glue to adhere the clothes pins? Thanks for your help.
Hi Cindee, thanks for asking! I ran a length of ribbon through the lower half of the closthespins and tied it off in a knot. It holds the clothepins around the votive holder but you can still remove the holder. If you want something “permanent”, I would suggest E6000 glue. It will adhere to glass and you’ve got a little wiggle room before it dries to make adjustments.
Thanks so much Sara.
You’re most welcome, Cindee! Have fun playing!!
What a sweet project – love all the flowers you made 🙂
Thanks, Anna! I’ve been itching to make some 3D flowers — it had a been a while.
This is super cute… I am loving that new DSP!
Thanks, Jennifer! The patterns are going to be fun to play with.
