A couple of years ago,

we made these chalkboards in a class.

In the class, we made a few seasonal ornaments

to decorate the corner.

The From My Heart designer paper made me think that it was time to create a Valentine Ornament for the corner of the board.

You’ll use the Heart Punch Pack to cut out

both scalloped and plain foiled hearts

from two of the prints.

Then, layer the hearts attaching them only along the center line.

This will give your dimensional heart ornament more visual interest.

Next, add three piece of wire with small, foiled hearts attached.

You’ll cut the small hearts out with your Paper Snips.

Dangling from the bottom, you’ll add

designer paper beads and more small, foiled hearts.

To make the beads, cut 1/2″ x 6″ strips of designer paper.

Cut an point whose angle extends about two inches.

Roll the designer paper beginning with the flat end.

Apply Multipurpose Glue to the last two inches of the strip

to hold the bead closed.

Oh what a fabulous addition to your chalkboard Sara! And those beads are so cute – I must try making some – thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Jackie! It’s got me thinking I should make a few more ornaments for my chalkboard.
