Hi! I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. Welcome to my blog! I spent the weekend in NYC with several of the girls in my family. After a busy, fun weekend, I took yesterday off to regroup. Today, I’m sharing a Here’s to Strong Women with Pressed Petals card. I’ll be adding it to the stash of cards my daughter will be taking back to school with her.

Here’s to Strong Women with Pressed Petals

Each year, I make a bunch of cards

for my daughter to use at school.

Everything from “you’ve got this” to birthday to thank you.

That way, she’s ready to brighten someone’s day or let them know their gesture or assistance was appreciated.

After stamping the Birch Background on Very Vanilla,

use your damp Aqua Painter to brush across the stamped image.

This will subtly lighten and soften the image.

Once it is dry, stamp the sentiment from Here’s to Strong Women

over the birch.

You may wish to use your Stamparatus.

Cut and emboss Old Olive with the oval Heirloom Frame.

Then lightly drag the Delicata Golden Glitz ink pad (coming in the Holiday Catalog)

over the raised embossing

Tie the frame with Braided Linen Trim

and fray the ends.

Then, tuck in a copper leaf from the Leaves Trinkets.

Add the framed sentiment to a Crumb Cake base

layered with Pressed Petals designer paper.
