Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. I finally broke out Hello Cupcake a few days ago because of the Call Me Cupcake Framelits. So when I was thinking about what to create for our “touch of metal” theme….well, I decided on Hello Cupcake for Creating Kindness Blog Hop. It might seem crazy! But, check it out and let me know what you think. I think it’s a fun twist for the Hello Cupcake set!

Hello Cupcake for Creating Kindness

Create a fun look by combining
different types of textural elements!
You’ll start with a Thick Whisper White base.

Then, add layer of Blushing Bride
and Copper Foil Sheet.
Be sure to cut these as micro layers for the subtle look they add.

Use the Delicate Lace Edgelit to cut a piece of Whisper White.
Trim to fit the focal layer.
Then add a 1/16″ strip of Copper Foil Sheet as an accent.

Stamp the cupcake liner from Hello Cupcake in Flirty Flamingo.
Then stamp the icing in Blushing Bride.
Cut the two piece with the Call Me Cupcake Framelits.
(Purchase them in my store and receive a Special Edition Tutorial Bundle)
With the Garage Gears Thinlits, cut gears from
Blushing Bride and Copper Foil.

Accent the gears with by embossing the edges in copper.
Add a little sheer embossing in copper to the cupcake liner.
And finish with loops of both Rose and Copper Metallic Thread.
Thanks for stopping in today!

Love how the metallic edge mimics your base for photographs Sara. Such a fun way to add embossing on the die cut too
Thank you, Jay! The “dipped” look is a fun way to add a little embossing.
Love the combination of the cupcake and gears together so very clever!!
Thanks! Marcy. They added some nice texture.
Oh I love how you have combined all of these gorgeous elements Sara. The thin copper borders just set the whole card off perfectly.
Thanks, Lou. Sometimes all it takes is a narrow border to make a card sing.
So much fun! I love the gears with the cupcake. Really cool product pairing. You are a smarty!
Thanks! Charlet. It’s fun to see how things play together.
Who would have thought cogs and cupcakes would go together so well?!! What a great idea. I love the pink and copper together too. Great project Sara!
Thanks! Paula. I’ve been trying to think of the combination all day and there you have it…. cogs and cupcakes.
Soooo super cute card and sooo pretty! I love this touch of metal 😍
Thanks so much, Sylvia!
