So yesterday my hubby was headed out the door and as usual I asked, ” Where are you going?” You never know where his errand might overlap one I need to do. He replied that he was going to pick up a sympathy card — his mom needed one to send out. I of course looked at him and said, “Ahem, you do know what I do, right?” “Yeah, you make cards and sell Stampin’ Up! products.” “And you need a sympathy card?” “Yes.” “You know I can make one?” “Oh, I didn’t think about that.” Needless to say, good son that he is he took this Heartfelt sympathy card that I had made to his mother.

Heartfelt Sympathy Card
I used Heartfelt Sympathy for her card
I tried to think about a style that would appeal to my mother in law. I think this does the trick.
It’s clean and simple with just a little bit of embellishment.
My color combination is Tip Top Taupe for the card base, Mint Macaron for the full cardstock layer and ink, and Very Vanilla for the focal layer.
I used large Basic Pearls and the pretty Lace Doilies from the Occasions catalog.
Heartfelt Sympathy
also includes sentiments for the inside of the card and the nice little detail stamp that is perfect for accenting the inside layer.
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my Heartfelt Sympathy card.
