Last night the group of us girls enjoyed the variety show at the Alabama Theater. It’s fun, family friendly entertainment. We were trying to figure out when we first went. It had to have been over 20 years ago. We go every two or three years and enjoy it every time. And each time we go, someone has enjoyed part of the comedy routine so much that it gets repeated for quite some time. Fun! Happy! Our time together is like a celebration…of family. That jives perfectly with my Happy Celebrations color combo card that I created and am sharing today.
Happy Celebrations Color Combo Card

My color combo for the card is Basic Black and Calypso Coral.
It’s perfect together!
Though the Calypso Coral is in the orange family — this combo doesn’t scream Halloween. My card base is Calypso Coral followed by a layer of Whisper White.
Several of the images in the Happy Celebrations stamp set are perfect for creating a graphic look. For the background layer, I used the small circle and triangle stamps from Happy Celebrations.
Inking in Calypso Coral and Basic Black, I stamped a graphic background. It’s easy to line up the images just eyeballing.
Tip: I did mark the center and stamp the horizontal center line of images first. Start in the middle and stamp out to each side.

After adding the stamped layer with Dimensionals, I added a smaller layer of Calypso Coral with Dimensionals.
Then, I stamped “HAPPY” from Happy Celebrations in Basic Black onto a piece of Whisper White. This piece was also added with Dimensionals. In fact, the dimension is part of what makes this card pop!
Finally, I added few of the Iridescent Sequin Assortment sequins in the lower right. Then, I wove a strip of Gold Mini Sequin Trim through the layers on the left.
