Hi! Welcome to my blog and today’s OSAT Blog Hop Blooms. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker and the design team and I have lots of inspiration to share with you around the theme of blooms. Let’s take a look at wedding card and gift tag I’ve created with Hand Penned Flowers and Forever Fern!

OSAT Blog Hop Blooms
Hand Penned Flowers and Forever Fern Wedding Card

When I went to create my card for a wedding I was attending last weekend, I took a look back at the style of the invitation for some inspiration. There was a clean, elegance about it and I wanted to create in that same vein.
I started by using one of the Penned Flowers Dies with some of the gorgeous Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. Love the visual texture in this paper as it adds another bit of detail along with the gold.!

Using the Penned Flowers Die cuts, I embellished a Stitched So Sweetly die (chart HERE) cut layer of Very Vanilla that sits atop my Thick Very Vanilla card base.
Then, I stamped the sentiment from Forever Fern in Versamark and embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To add the stitched frame for the sentiment, I used the Partial Die Cutting Technique with a Stitched Rectangle Die.
And, don’t forget the inside of the card! Use the scallop from the Penned Flowers Dies and cut a strip of the Gold Metallic Paper as an accent strip.
Forever Fern Wedding Gift Tag

While my card went on the inside of my gift box, I wanted a little something to zhuzh up the outside of the package so I created this oversized tag.
Again, I started with the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. I mean, how could I not!?! To add a little detail to this layer, I used a Basic Borders Die. Don’t overlook this versatile bad boys!!
Next is a layer of Very Vanilla cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die.
Then, I cut/embossed leaves with a Forever Flourishing Die.
And to top all of this off, I created some simple roses from Very Vanilla cardstock.
Since a pretty tag also needs some pretty ribbon, I used Gold Shimmer Ribbon to tie the tag with a lavish bow before adding it to the front of my gift.

Very pretty. I love that gold paper. Thanks for the reminder on the roses. Haven’t made those in a long time. Now where is that quilling tool? 😂
I hadn’t made them in a while either! But, they’re always a win. Check the “tool” drawer, aka crafters junk drawer 🤣
Sara, very pretty – I especially love that tag!!!
Thanks, Ann! That Gold Metallic Specialty Paper really gives that tag a bump.
Oh what a beautiful project Sara … so very elegant and perfectly fitting for a Wedding xx
Thanks, Mikaela! They fit her “theme”.
