Hand Delivered Birthday Box

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  This week, I’ve shared several birthday creations.  After sharing one of them, one of my followers messaged saying that she would love to receive one of these.  So, of course I created something for her.  I will deliver it later this month.  Since she is local to me, I created a Hand Delivered Birthday Box — it won’t need to go in the mail.

Hand Delivered is one of the Host stamp sets

in the 2018-19 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.

As you can see, this set is full of great line art and sentiments.

I used Hand Delivered to create the focal image for

my birthday gift box or favor.

Using Smoky Slate ink, I stamped the lower body, skirt design and balloons.

Then, I used Stampin’ Blends to color everything.

For the palette, I chose colors that coordinated with the

Garden Impressions designer paper wrap.

Next, I cut out the image using both my Stampin’ Trimmer and Paper Snips.

Then, I traced the balloons onto another piece of Whisper White and cut them out.

Since the back of the colored balloons will be visible, I adhered the balloon silhouette.

This covers the normal bleed through from Stampin’ Blends and gives a space

to write or stamp a message.

 

 

Using the Gift Bag Punch Board, I quickly created this box

from Lovely Lipstick cardstock.

After adding the designer paper wrap, I added a

Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon bow.

And inside, I placed a 3″ x 6″ Gusseted Cellophane Bag that’s just waiting to be filled.
