It’s Day 2 of my 12 Days of Halloween.
And I just know you’re going to love this simple, cute treat.
Yes, I love Halloween treats and I love packaging them.
But, I often run into the need for them to be simple.
You know — life gets in the way!
I’ve used the fabulous Clear Tiny Treat Boxes.
And cut some decorations for them using the Halloween Scenes Edgelits.
You’ll need to cut two of the fence pieces to go around all four sides of the box. I’ve cut mine from Basic Black cardstock.
Tip: the fence die is an edgelit so, you will need to cut the bottom of the fence away from your piece of cardstock. But have no fear, there’s a nice embossed line to use as a guide.
Score an inch in from either end of the fence die cut.
Then, put a Glue Dot near each end of one fence piece. Attach this fence piece to the other fence piece and you’re ready to slide your square of fence down into the box.
I used a strategically place Glue Dot in one corner of each fence piece to keep if from moving.
Next, I cut the tree from Halloween Scenes in Rich Razzleberry. I chose to trim the ground to 2″ so that it runs just along the front of the box.
Again, I used a strategically placed Glue Dot to help the tree stay in place.
After filling my box with candy — it holds a lot — I wrapped my box twice around with Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine.
As I said at the top: simple and cute!
These would be easy to do for a whole class or your office mates.
