I needed a masculine birthday card last week and turned to the Guy Greetings stamp set. There are a load of fabulous images in this set for your masculine card needs. What I ended up with was a simple, fun card.
I literally started with the “guy”. Hello my name is Guy, Guy Greetings that is. And then decide to have just a little fun with him.
Guy here had a little heavy lifting to do for this birthday.
His barbell is cut from a piece of Gold Foil paper with 1″ circle punch weights on each end in Island Indigo. The Very Vanilla 5’s were cut with the Little Numbers Thinlits.
Guy was inked in Island Indigo on Very Vanilla. His panel sits on a layer of Bohemian designer paper. Several of the designs in this pack are perfect for masculine cards.
The embellishment on this card is simple, just some Gold Bakers Twine wound around the designer paper layer.
The sentiment was also stamped on Very Vanilla. To shape this layer, I used the Decorative Label punch. The piece was inserted once and punched, then reinserted and punched again to make a smaller shape.
Everything sits on an Island Indigo cardstock base.
And…
If it’s a birthday, you also need a present.
For his gift, I had found these drink rocks that you freeze. I thought they would be perfect for summer as they wouldn’t water down his beverage like regular ice cubes tend to do.
I packaged them in a mason jar and added some of the same Bohemian designer paper to the lid and a decorative tag on the front of a loop of Blackberry Bliss ribbon (currently on the Clearance Rack).
