This has been one busy, last week of school. We had a concert Monday evening and they played for graduation on Tuesday evening. Wednesday, I woke to find I was not immune to the germs my husband and daughter had been sharing. When this happens my answer is — if at all possible — get some extra sleep. And today while finals were being completed, I was doing my last check of orchestra uniforms before they head to the dry cleaner. I’m going to miss the help of my friend Helen who I’ve gotten to know by working in the uniform room. She “graduated”. And tonight we have a graduation party — it sneaked up on us. Check out my Graduation Alphabets card so it doesn’t sneak up on you!

Graduation Alphabets
You can’t go to a graduation party empty handed. My nieces had both preferred gift cards that they could use for dorm/college supplies so I decided this was the way to go. But, I still needed a card.
This is a fun quickie.
I’m in love with the new Layered Letters alphabet — just need to put that right out front. I’ve used it more in the few weeks that I’ve had it than I have any previous alphabet.
Today, I created three “balloons” using the new 1 1/2″ circle punch and stamped the “C”, “O”, and “N”.
These balloons are tied together with Gold Bakers Twine.
I quickly realized that I wasn’t going to be able to fit the rest of the letters and be able to see the Cherry on Top designer paper. So, I pulled out Celebrate Today and stamped the large balloon. Then I added letters from the Back to Basics alphabet*. This worked perfectly!
*As I may have mentioned before, I have trimmed the footing on the sides of the Back to Basics letters so that I can place them closely together on a block.
Grab Layered Letters and see just how much fun you can have creating with it.
