I’m excited to be creating, today, with Let’s Get Away. It’s been almost a week since I’ve felt up to doing anything. I don’t think that I’ve slept that much in recent memory!
I’ve still got a few graduations to acknowledge/celebrate and I wanted to do something a little different and fun. As I was going through my stamp sets to choose this morning, I spotted Let’s Get Away and the wheels started turning. That’s usually a good thing, especially after a creation free week.
World Map inked in Memento Tuxedo Black was stamped on Whisper White cardstock. Using a dauber and Pool Party ink, I colored in the water on the map.
Then I inked the cute car, from Let’s Get Away, in Cucumber Crush, Crushed Curry and Watermelon Wonder. Each card was punched with the 1″ Circle punch and then backed with a coordinating piece of cardstock that was punched with the 1 1/4″ Circle punch.
After stamping the dotted trail in Bermuda Bay with another Let’s Get Away stamp, the car pieces were added with dimensionals.
The sentiment was masked so that each word could be stamped separately, also in Bermuda Bay. Then, the words and a piece of Bermuda cardstock were cut with the Word Window punch and layered onto the card.
I think “go”, “see”, “do” is a perfect suggestion for a new graduate.
Once the map layer was finished, I added a strip of Cherry on Top washi down the right hand side of the Bermuda Bay base layer before adhering the focal layer.
Now it’s your turn.
