I was quite pleased yesterday when I saw the update telling us that the Gift Bow Bigz Die (129997), that was in the Holiday Catalog, is once again available. I thoroughly enjoyed creating with this die as there are a multitude of things you can make that aren’t gift bows.
I created my Glam Girl last Fall and boy was she a hit. I had been thinking that I could change her up a bit and she’d be perfect for Easter or a wedding. But, today I made her and just changed up the designer paper.
I started with a Basic Black base. For this card your base needs to be 5 3/4″ (w) X 11″ (L). Her hat is Pear Pizzazz that has been cut with the middle size Envelope Liner framelit. Using the Gift Bow Bigz Die, I cut the Sweet Sorbet designer paper and assembled the bow. I find that Sticky Strip is the best adhesive for the bow. Then I used the Postage Stamp punch and punched Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black. The Basic Black punch was cut in two and layered behind the Pear Pizzazz punch. Next, the Petite Curly Label punch was used on Basic Black and the tiny postage stamp from the Little Label Punch Pack was used on a piece of Sweet Sorbet. After adhering all of these pieces together, I used a Stampin’ Dimensional to place it in the middle of the bow. Her face is cut from Very Vanilla using the second largest Ovals Collection framelit. Her nose and ears are also Very Vanilla and have been punched with the Small Oval punch. Finally, the Small Oval punch was also used to create her mouth from a piece of Calypso Coral.
Glam Girl has been very popular here. You should make one of your own. I’m sure you know someone who would love her.
