Everybody needs a little card they can tuck into a gift from time to time. After years of gift giving, I prefer these. I’ve found that they are less likely to become separated from the gift. While sometimes this isn’t an issue, say when you’re giving the gift directly to the recipient, at other times it is. Have you ever gone to a wedding or big birthday party? Maybe it was your own wedding or birthday. There’s usually at least one gift, often two or more, where the card has become detached from the gift. If this happens with multiple gifts you have no idea who gave what. In comes the gift card enclosure. I try to create something that will standout so you can’t miss seeing it. If you’re going to put it in an envelope, let me suggest stamping something on the outside. Not only does it “pretty up” the envelope, but again it makes it eye catching.
For my gift enclosure, I used a slightly different size. My card measured 2.5″ x 6″.
Using Petal Parade and Gorgeous Grunge, I created this quick, cute card. The flower was inked with Strawberry Slush and the arc of “leaves” was inked with Pear Pizzazz. Both of these images were cut out using my paper snips. Directly on my Whisper White base, I stamped the “ink spots” from Gorgeous Grunge in Coastal Cabana. The leaves are adhered to the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the flower was added with a Stampin’ Dimensional. A Basic Rhinestone in the middle of the flower is the final detail and you have a quick, easy, cute gift enclosure that is eye catching enough that it won’t get lost in the tissue paper.
