Welcome! It’s time for the Creation Station creative tour and #stampingsunday. Whew! It’s been a busy last few days with Halloween. Goodie bags were made, tagged and delivered. There was a Halloween costume party last night. The costume turned out better than we had even hoped. And this afternoon there is one last Halloween Party.
But here today, we’re moving on to another holiday. And, we’re thinking gift card holders. Who doesn’t need those? I’m sure that by the time you finish the tour, you’ll have a wonderful selection of ideas for creating your own gift card holders.
Gift cards can be the perfect and most desired gift sometimes. But, just because they’re a little rectangle of plastic doesn’t mean that you can’t have a little fun with the presentation.
For my first sample, I used the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlit from the Holiday Catalog.
I decided to go for a purse look with the Gift Card Thinlit by adding a bit of Wild Wasabi Seam Binding.
But the real attraction is the closer. I used one of the framelits that comes with the Gift Card Thinlit to cut Silver Glimmer Paper. To this was added a Vellum Cardstock disk with an image from Cheerful Tags embossed on it. Then, I layered Frosted Sequins and finished with Basic Rhinstones for the center and top.
Next, I played with one of the Gift Card Enclosures that come in a 10 pack in the Annual Catalog.
I decided I wanted a box for my gift card or small gift rather than an envelope.
And, I love how easy it was to make this dimensional star.
Check out this quick video for a how to for both the box and the star.
Thanks for stopping by. Now it’s time to hop along.

Sara: Such pretty gift card enclosures! The closure on the green purse is gorgeous–such attention to detail!
