The busier I go, the less creative time I have (sometimes). That’s the case of the last week. Between getting ready for last weekend’s craft show and working on uniform fittings and alterations this week, I haven’t created much. So, I was quite pleased to wake up this morning with not one but two ideas. And, as I type this it may morph into a third idea. Yea!!
I used the Gift Bag Punch Board (another of my favorite very versatile tools),
to create an Easter basket. It’s smallish. I seem to be obsessed with the idea of favors/treats, hostess gifts/remembrances. I just love the idea of giving a little handmade something when you visit or meet up with a friend. It makes you feel special! I know this for a fact as I met my friend Gary last night for a quick chat and he had taken the time to make a little bunny box for me filled with his signature chocolate dipped cherries. But, I digress ….a little.
The front of the basket is decorated with a combination of Very Vanilla flowers and Pear Pizzazz leaves. These elements were cut using the Botanical Builder Framelits.
And, here’s a side view of the Lost Lagoon basket.
Instead of a round or square basket, I’ve created one with all these little facets using the Gift Bag Punch Board.
Edit: As promised earlier today, I’ve come back and posted the video.
Enjoy making these cute, quick baskets!
