Yesterday morning, my friend Tracey texted to ask about invitations and favors for an upcoming wedding. Tracey is super crafty and is making everything for the wedding as she has for the engagement party and shower. She’s getting close to her deadline and she wanted some ideas with samples. I LOVE this kind of challenge and I always enjoy the custom wedding creations that I get to make. After finishing her invitation template, I set to work on the favor. I’m quite excited because in the process of coming up with her favor container, I created a new box that can be made with the Gift Bag Punch Board.
Today’s version of the Cube Box is baby themed to go along with GDP003
I made both a baby boy and a baby girl version of the Cube Box using Sweet Li’l Things designer paper for the top of the box and coordinating carddstock for the bottoms.
The primary color in this piece of designer paper is Tip Top Taupe, which is gender neutral. Both Soft Sky and Blushing Bride work beautifully as shades for the base of the box.
Each box is accessorized with a bow made with the Bow Builder punch. The tags are similar but different. I’ve added one of the fox heads to the Very Vanilla tag layer and finished this tag with Gold Baker’s Twine for my baby boy.
For the baby girl tag, I added one of the fox heads without whiskers and re purposed the bow tie as a bow for her hair. This tag is embellished with Blushing Bride Sequin Trim.
Both tags are stamped with words from Tin of Cards. Since the words are photopolymer it’s super simple to combine them to make your own custom sentiment as I’ve done here.
And finally, here’s a look at the box open. It’s the perfect size for a small, special gift or keepsake.
Thanks for stopping by!
And if you don’t yet have a Gift Bag Punch Board of your own — I urge you to get one!
It’s my favorite!
